Holy Priest rotation assistant for World of Warcraft

Profile updated yesterday

Spot heals for the player who ate the mechanic everyone else dodged.

Rice Rotations reads your Holy Priest from the game picture, decides which ability comes next, and presses the key for it from a second PC or a virtual machine. It runs on World of Warcraft Midnight retail and on Mists of Pandaria Classic, and the profile is included in the same subscription as the other thirty-nine specializations.

How the Holy Priest profile plays

Holy Priest is Holy Word cooldown reduction plus a HoT layer. Rice keeps Renew and Prayer of Mending working, uses Heal and Flash Heal to bring the Holy Words back sooner, and picks Circle of Healing or Prayer of Healing based on how the group is spread.

Healing is triage under time pressure. Rice watches the health of the group on screen, keeps your filler and your efficient heals flowing, saves the strong cooldown for the damage event instead of dumping it early, and covers dispels so a bad debuff does not sit for four seconds while you are moving.

The profile reacts to the pull instead of replaying a fixed list: interrupts fire on casts that matter, dispels go out when a debuff lands, and cooldowns are held for the burst window rather than used the moment they come up. Dozens of Holy Priest settings decide how aggressive or how conservative that behaviour is, so a raid night and a Mythic+ push can use different profiles of the same spec.

Cooldowns and burst windows

Holy Word: Serenity and Sanctify are spent where they save someone rather than on cooldown, Divine Hymn is saved for the damage event, Apotheosis is opened into a window that needs it, and Guardian Spirit goes out before the death, not after.

What the Holy Priest rotation handles

  • Renew and Prayer of Mending upkeep
  • Holy Word cooldown reduction respected in the filler
  • Circle of Healing versus Prayer of Healing by group spread
  • Purify and Mass Dispel, Guardian Spirit before the death

Raid, Mythic+ and the rest

Raid plays the group healing pattern with Sanctify and Prayer of Healing. In Mythic+ it stays on the tank with Serenity and Prayer of Mending and keeps Renew out on whoever the pack is chewing on.

Raid nights, Mythic+ keystones, delves, world content and levelling alts. Rice Rotations is built and tuned for PvE, so there are no arena or battleground profiles. The desktop client is Windows only.

Setup and safety

Nothing is attached to the game: there is no injection, no memory reading and no unlocker. Rice runs on a second PC or a virtual machine, reads your gaming PC as a video stream and sends keystrokes back, so the machine running World of Warcraft only ever sees keyboard input arriving.

  • Built and tuned for PvE. No arena or battleground profiles.
  • Midnight retail is supported.
  • Classic is Mists of Pandaria only, so no Era, no Wrath, no other ruleset.

Holy Priest questions

Does it understand Holy Word cooldown reduction?
Yes. The filler heals are chosen partly to bring Serenity and Sanctify back sooner instead of being cast at random.
Does it use Guardian Spirit in time?
It reacts to health loss rather than to a timer, which is generally faster than a human noticing the tank is about to die.
