Retribution Paladin rotation assistant for World of Warcraft
Wake and Final Reckoning saved for the window that pays.
Rice Rotations reads your Retribution Paladin from the game picture, decides which ability comes next, and presses the key for it from a second PC or a virtual machine. It runs on World of Warcraft Midnight retail and on Mists of Pandaria Classic, and the profile is included in the same subscription as the other thirty-nine specializations.
How the Retribution Paladin profile plays
Retribution is Holy Power in and out. Rice generates with Crusader Strike, Blade of Justice and Judgment without overcapping, spends into Templar’s Verdict or Divine Storm depending on target count, and takes Hammer of Wrath the moment the window opens.
DPS is about never wasting a global. Rice keeps your builder and spender priority correct through procs and haste changes, lines burst cooldowns up with the window they are meant for, and switches to the multi-target priority when the pull is actually stacked rather than when a timer says so.
The profile reacts to the pull instead of replaying a fixed list: interrupts fire on casts that matter, dispels go out when a debuff lands, and cooldowns are held for the burst window rather than used the moment they come up. Dozens of Retribution Paladin settings decide how aggressive or how conservative that behaviour is, so a raid night and a Mythic+ push can use different profiles of the same spec.
Cooldowns and burst windows
Avenging Wrath or Crusade is opened with Holy Power banked and Wake of Ashes ready, so the window is spenders. Divine Toll is used where it hits multiple targets, and Shield of Vengeance is treated as a defensive rather than a filler.
What the Retribution Paladin rotation handles
- Holy Power generated and spent without capping
- Wake of Ashes and Avenging Wrath overlapped
- Hammer of Wrath taken as soon as it is available
- Rebuke on interrupts, Shield of Vengeance and Divine Shield on damage
Raid, Mythic+ and the rest
Single target protects the generator and spender balance. On packs it moves to Divine Storm and keeps the cleave going, and it holds the big window for the pack that is worth it instead of the first two mobs.
Raid nights, Mythic+ keystones, delves, world content and levelling alts. Rice Rotations is built and tuned for PvE, so there are no arena or battleground profiles. The desktop client is Windows only.
Setup and safety
Nothing is attached to the game: there is no injection, no memory reading and no unlocker. Rice runs on a second PC or a virtual machine, reads your gaming PC as a video stream and sends keystrokes back, so the machine running World of Warcraft only ever sees keyboard input arriving.
- Built and tuned for PvE. No arena or battleground profiles.
- Midnight retail is supported.
- Classic is Mists of Pandaria only, so no Era, no Wrath, no other ruleset.
Retribution Paladin questions
- Will it overcap Holy Power?
- No. Generation is held when you are close to the cap and spent before a generator would waste a charge.
- Does it use the burst window properly?
- The window is opened with Holy Power banked and Wake of Ashes available so it is spent on damage, not on setup.
