Fire Mage rotation assistant for World of Warcraft
Combustion lines up with the damage window, and Heating Up survives the movement.
Rice Rotations reads your Fire Mage from the game picture, decides which ability comes next, and presses the key for it from a second PC or a virtual machine. It runs on World of Warcraft Midnight retail and on Mists of Pandaria Classic, and the profile is included in the same subscription as the other thirty-nine specializations.
How the Fire Mage profile plays
Fire is proc conversion. Rice converts Heating Up into Hot Streak with Fire Blast at the right moment, spends Hot Streak on Pyroblast before it expires, keeps Fireball rolling in between, and uses Scorch when you have to move instead of standing still and dying.
DPS is about never wasting a global. Rice keeps your builder and spender priority correct through procs and haste changes, lines burst cooldowns up with the window they are meant for, and switches to the multi-target priority when the pull is actually stacked rather than when a timer says so.
The profile reacts to the pull instead of replaying a fixed list: interrupts fire on casts that matter, dispels go out when a debuff lands, and cooldowns are held for the burst window rather than used the moment they come up. Dozens of Fire Mage settings decide how aggressive or how conservative that behaviour is, so a raid night and a Mythic+ push can use different profiles of the same spec.
Cooldowns and burst windows
Combustion is opened with Fire Blast charges and Phoenix Flames banked so the window is all instants and crits, not setup. Everything else is arranged around that window rather than pressed as it comes up.
What the Fire Mage rotation handles
- Heating Up converted, Hot Streak spent before it expires
- Fire Blast charges banked for Combustion
- Scorch used while moving instead of losing casts
- Counterspell on interrupts, Ice Block and Blazing Barrier on damage
Raid, Mythic+ and the rest
Single target guards the Hot Streak cycle. On packs it swaps the spender to Flamestrike and keeps the same proc conversion running, which means reading two buffs and a charge count at once, all while dodging.
Raid nights, Mythic+ keystones, delves, world content and levelling alts. Rice Rotations is built and tuned for PvE, so there are no arena or battleground profiles. The desktop client is Windows only.
Setup and safety
Nothing is attached to the game: there is no injection, no memory reading and no unlocker. Rice runs on a second PC or a virtual machine, reads your gaming PC as a video stream and sends keystrokes back, so the machine running World of Warcraft only ever sees keyboard input arriving.
- Built and tuned for PvE. No arena or battleground profiles.
- Midnight retail is supported.
- Classic is Mists of Pandaria only, so no Era, no Wrath, no other ruleset.
Fire Mage questions
- Is Combustion handled or just pressed?
- It is set up. The profile banks the charges and procs the window needs before opening it, so Combustion is spent on damage rather than on generating resources.
- Does it play the moving parts of Fire?
- Yes, the instant and Scorch parts of the priority are used while you move so uptime does not collapse during mechanics.
