Elemental Shaman rotation assistant for World of Warcraft
Maelstrom spent on the target count in front of you.
Rice Rotations reads your Elemental Shaman from the game picture, decides which ability comes next, and presses the key for it from a second PC or a virtual machine. It runs on World of Warcraft Midnight retail and on Mists of Pandaria Classic, and the profile is included in the same subscription as the other thirty-nine specializations.
How the Elemental Shaman profile plays
Elemental is Maelstrom management around Lava Burst. Rice keeps Flame Shock up so Lava Burst always crits, spends Maelstrom on Earth Shock or Earthquake before capping, and fills with Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning depending on how many targets are actually in front of you.
DPS is about never wasting a global. Rice keeps your builder and spender priority correct through procs and haste changes, lines burst cooldowns up with the window they are meant for, and switches to the multi-target priority when the pull is actually stacked rather than when a timer says so.
The profile reacts to the pull instead of replaying a fixed list: interrupts fire on casts that matter, dispels go out when a debuff lands, and cooldowns are held for the burst window rather than used the moment they come up. Dozens of Elemental Shaman settings decide how aggressive or how conservative that behaviour is, so a raid night and a Mythic+ push can use different profiles of the same spec.
Cooldowns and burst windows
The elemental summon, Stormkeeper and Ascendance are lined up into one window with Maelstrom banked, and Icefury is spent rather than left to expire. Nothing is fired on cooldown if the window is close.
What the Elemental Shaman rotation handles
- Flame Shock uptime so Lava Burst always crits
- Maelstrom spent before capping, spender matched to target count
- Elemental summon, Stormkeeper and Ascendance overlapped
- Wind Shear on interrupts, Purge on buffs, Astral Shift on damage
Raid, Mythic+ and the rest
Single target protects Flame Shock and the Lava Burst cadence. On packs it spreads Flame Shock, moves to Chain Lightning and Earthquake, and keeps the spender choice matched to target count.
Raid nights, Mythic+ keystones, delves, world content and levelling alts. Rice Rotations is built and tuned for PvE, so there are no arena or battleground profiles. The desktop client is Windows only.
Setup and safety
Nothing is attached to the game: there is no injection, no memory reading and no unlocker. Rice runs on a second PC or a virtual machine, reads your gaming PC as a video stream and sends keystrokes back, so the machine running World of Warcraft only ever sees keyboard input arriving.
- Built and tuned for PvE. No arena or battleground profiles.
- Midnight retail is supported.
- Classic is Mists of Pandaria only, so no Era, no Wrath, no other ruleset.
Elemental Shaman questions
- Does it keep Flame Shock up on packs?
- Yes, multi target Flame Shock maintenance is treated as part of the rotation rather than something you do when you remember.
- Does it use Wind Shear on the right casts?
- Interrupts are targeted at the casts that matter, with a configurable list, instead of firing at the first cast bar it sees.
