Shaman · healer
Restoration Shaman rotation assistant for World of Warcraft
Chain Heal aimed at real clumps, Spirit Link for the moment the party stacks wrong.
Rice Rotations reads your Restoration Shaman from the game picture, decides which ability comes next, and presses the key for it from a second PC or a virtual machine. It runs on World of Warcraft Midnight retail and on Mists of Pandaria Classic, and the profile is included in the same subscription as the other thirty-nine specializations.
How the Restoration Shaman profile plays
Restoration Shaman is Riptide upkeep plus placed healing. Rice keeps Riptide cycling on the people who need it, chooses Chain Heal when the group is grouped and Healing Wave or Surge when one target is dropping, and keeps Healing Rain down where the group is standing.
Healing is triage under time pressure. Rice watches the health of the group on screen, keeps your filler and your efficient heals flowing, saves the strong cooldown for the damage event instead of dumping it early, and covers dispels so a bad debuff does not sit for four seconds while you are moving.
The profile reacts to the pull instead of replaying a fixed list: interrupts fire on casts that matter, dispels go out when a debuff lands, and cooldowns are held for the burst window rather than used the moment they come up. Dozens of Restoration Shaman settings decide how aggressive or how conservative that behaviour is, so a raid night and a Mythic+ push can use different profiles of the same spec.
Cooldowns and burst windows
Healing Tide and Spirit Link are saved for the damage event, Cloudburst is filled and released rather than wasted, Ascendance is opened into real damage, and Earthen Wall is placed for the pull that needs it.
What the Restoration Shaman rotation handles
- Riptide upkeep and Healing Rain placement
- Chain Heal versus single target healing by group spread
- Healing Tide, Spirit Link and Ascendance held for damage events
- Purify Spirit dispels, Wind Shear on interrupts, Astral Shift on damage
Raid, Mythic+ and the rest
Raid plays the totem and Chain Heal pattern into scheduled damage. In Mythic+ it stays reactive on the tank, keeps Riptide moving, and does not burn the long cooldowns on a pack that is nearly over.
Raid nights, Mythic+ keystones, delves, world content and levelling alts. Rice Rotations is built and tuned for PvE, so there are no arena or battleground profiles. The desktop client is Windows only.
Setup and safety
Nothing is attached to the game: there is no injection, no memory reading and no unlocker. Rice runs on a second PC or a virtual machine, reads your gaming PC as a video stream and sends keystrokes back, so the machine running World of Warcraft only ever sees keyboard input arriving.
- Built and tuned for PvE. No arena or battleground profiles.
- Midnight retail is supported.
- Classic is Mists of Pandaria only, so no Era, no Wrath, no other ruleset.
Restoration Shaman questions
- Does it place Healing Rain sensibly?
- It keeps Healing Rain down under the group rather than leaving it on cooldown, with settings for how aggressively to recast it.
- Does it still interrupt while healing?
- Yes. Wind Shear is part of the profile, which is easy to forget by hand when you are watching health bars.
